Poland to host NATO summit next spring

NATO Council decided that the meeting of NATO ministers of defence will be held in Warsaw, informed during a joint press conference Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.
The decision, is inasmuch important as that will be the first meeting at the ministerial level with the presence of a new US Secretary of Defense, said minister Radosław Sikorski. Minister Klich thanked minister Sikorski and Polish representative to NATO Bogusław Winid for their efforts in this initiative. ‘This decision is a proof of Poland’s growing role in NATO appreciated for, among others, its engagement in Afghanistan’, Klich concluded.
